Housing Survey Update

Comrie Area Housing and Business Needs Survey Report Lynn Duke, in the Strathearn Herald, reported on the demand for affordable housing in the Comrie area stating that a "significant shortage" is "negatively impacting" the community and local businesses. CDT chair, Jeremy Spurway, said "In the past you would hear people talking about their difficulties with securing a home in the village, but it wasn't possible to describe the scale of the issue in any coherent way." The survey's resulting report has documented the impacts of a highly competitive housing market on individuals, families, and local businesses and identifies the key housing stock requirements . In addition, the report explores other housing-related pressures such as domestic energy prices, access to public transport and other local facilities, and the transition to home working.
